Breakfast in Sakura Hotel Nippori

We loved the fresh air circulating through the hotel. We loved being able to eat our breakfast on the little balcony right on the street where we could watch the world passing by. Our room had a window we could open wide. The bathrooms were spotless, the 24/7 reception is essential when arriving from the airport. We knew it didn't matter how delayed our flight may be, we'd still have a bed at the end of it. We love the cafe and the free breakfast. Value for money is exceptional. Location is also brilliant - short walk to Nippori Station which is one of the stations where the Narita Skytrain stops. The rooms are remarkably quiet. Ours was on a side street, and we heard nothing. Either the other guests are very well behaved or the walls have great insulation, because we never heard noise from any of the other rooms, or in the corridors. The staff are exceptionally helpful and polite. We were able to store a bag there until we retuned to the hotel at the end of our Japan trip. We have stayed at Sakura Nippori on previous trips, and will do so again. I recommend it to anyone I know travelling to Tokyo. The tatami rooms are lovely. I slept SO well!

It was in a surprisingly good location, as long as you're willing to put in the work to push/pull your luggage to the hotel. This area is very retro and homey - I enjoyed the nearby shops and restaurants immensely. In the hotel, they have luggage storage, and a quick check in. The staff are very helpful and from what I can see, all speak English. I got a twin bunk room to myself (which I asked and paid for), and luckily they put me on the top floor in the quietest room. Shower stalls are coed, but quite comfortable with shampoo/body soap provided, and I never had to wait. Bed is adequately comfortable, with pillow and towel provided. The cafe downstairs is open 24 hours with great wifi, with an open kitchen for whenever you get the nibbles. They also partner with a farmhouse, which provides some fresh ingredients, including herb teas. As I work on US time, I utilized the cafe through the night for work and meetings - very handy. Laundry is also on site - just ask the front desk for change, and detergent is provided.

Loved the easy access to Nippori and Sendagi stations. The plentiful shower and bathroom stalls were kept exceptionally clean despite the large number of guests using them. The laundromat was also a godsend, worth the payment. There's a Lawson and pharmacy next to the place that's super convenient along with a shopping district with lots of both touristy and neighbourhood shops and restaurants. Free breakfast with bread with condiments and daily special soup helps save you the hassle and cost of going to the convenience store. For those booking the bunk bed room, there's plenty of space to for two even with large luggage. Very quiet neighbourhood with no nightlife around so great for peace and quiet.

Great location--a few minutes walk to the nearest train station. It's in a quiet neighborhood with food and souvenir shops + convenience stores nearby. Spacious rooms and shared bathrooms were very clean and well-maintained. Beds are comfy--though pillows can be a little bigger :) Free towels included in our room. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Appreciate the simple breakfast in the morning. The wifi can be problematic at times, but it's tolerable. :) Would stay here again!

The property was clean and very near Nippori Station and Sendagi Station (a quiet neighborhood). Checking in was also a breeze and the staff were very easy to talk to. There was also a 24hr coin laundry beside the cafe which was really helpful as I had to wash clothes I intended to use again during our stay. The price we paid for also included light breakfast which we really appreciate since we didn’t want to get breakfast outside as we start the day.
